SARAJEVO, January 27 (FENA) - Museum of Wartime Childhood celebrated its second birthday in Sarajevo last night.

Director of the Museum Jasminko Halilović told FENA the first year was very successful and they won the museum award of the Council of Europe.

“During our second year we additionally developed all of our activities: research, presentation and educational ones. We were among five finalists of the European Museum Academy and expanded our activities outside of BiH,” said Halilović.

He announced that the museum has two important events this year, first in May when it will host a conference “European Museum of the Year” and second is opening another space which will expand capacity of the Museum of Wartime Childhood.

“We are very pleased with the impact we have. We are a small institution but we have an important mission and public feedback shows that this museum manages to communicate with people with every exhibition,” said Halilović.
