SREBRENICA, January 27 (FENA) - Film "Auschwitz" was screened at the Srebrenica-Potočari Memorial Center today to mark the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
President of the Steering Board of the Memorial Center Nisvet Mujanović told FENA the film was screened on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Holocaust and it tells a story about killing of Jews and other victims of Nazi regime.
“Preservation of memory of the Holocaust victims is a moral duty. Solidarity with victims, condemnation of criminals and their ideologies is the only right moral stance. Numerous associations which gather survivors and preserve memory of the Holocaust victims have raised their voice to show solidarity with genocide victims in Srebrenica and support preservation of truth about Srebrenica genocide,” said Mujanović.
International Holocaust Remembrance Day is marked on January 27 as the date of liberation of the biggest concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1945.
