SARAJEVO, January 28 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović asked to comment today the rejection of the Croat People's Assembly of the ICTY judgment on the joint criminal enterprise, told reporters that this was a shameful act that goes against civilized standards.
“After the judgment of the Hague Tribunal on the joint criminal enterprise, to hear someone glorify such a war crime in BiH, which has caused so many victims and so many other crimes, is a real human embarrassment. No one should do such things. This, in fact, pushes us further away from what we need to be doing here in BiH," Džaferović stressed.
He also added that the judgments and the facts established by the Hague Tribunal should in fact serve as the basis for everyone in order to face the truth and then to enter into dialogue and to solve a number of issues that need to be addressed in this country.
“The act of the Croat People’s Assembly pushes us further away from all of that and it is utter embarrassment by all human standards. They simply have to change their attitudes, there is no other way. They must direct their views towards what we call civilized behavior in such situations. It is civilized is to condemn the joint criminal enterprise, pay respect to the victims, and it is an anti-civilization act to glorify the joint criminal enterprise thereby offending its victims,” underlined Džaferović.
