BRUSSELS/SARAJEVO, January 29 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović, met with President of the European People's Party Josef Daul in Brussels today.
Džaferović informed Daul about the ongoing political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the processes of government forming after the general elections last year.
As he said, the formation of government at the state level has been impeded by the attempt to stop the continuation of BiH’s integration into NATO, which cannot be separated from our country's path towards the European Union.
In doing so, Džaferović underlined the announcements of political representatives from the entity of RS that they would not respect previously adopted laws, decisions and established foreign policy goals of the country, as a clear attempt to violate the rule of law.
Džaferović and Daul agreed that the rule of law is a key value and a European standard that must be upheld by all countries that aspire towards EU and NATO integration.
Given that Džaferović is the only BiH Presidency member coming from a party (SDA), which is a member of the family of European people’s parties, closer cooperation has been agreed with the EPP President Daul, stated the BiH Presidency.
