SARAJEVO, January 30 (FENA) - Swedish Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Anders Hagelberg visited today companies Milkos and Akova Group to get acquainted about the challenges and opportunities in the dairy industry and poultry sector in BiH.
He talked with the management of the two companies about the challenges of finding workforce, competitiveness in the European market, but also on the necessary steps towards improving the general image of BiH in terms of improving the rule of law.
“Here in Bosnia and Herzegovina, I see numerous examples where companies are competitive on domestic and international arena, such as the companies that I visited today, but there is still a lot of work to be done to improve the country's business climate in general,” said Ambassador Hagelberg.
He also reminded of the announced expanding of the list of dairy products from BiH that can be exported to the European Union market, as well as a positive recommendation when it comes to liberalization and opening the European Union market for chicken meat products from BiH.
Sweden secures around 17 million euros annually for the to support various development segments in BiH, and agriculture is an important sector in this support, part of this being the support of Sweden and the United States to the implementation of the FARMA II project.
