Mektić and Germain discuss enhancement of cooperation in security sector

SARAJEVO, February 14 (FENA) - Minister of Security of BiH Dragan Mektić and Deputy U.S. Ambassador to BiH Ellen Germain met in Sarajevo yesterday and discussed security challeges and enhancement of cooperation in area of security, strengthening rescue and protection system, fight against human trafficking and migration issues.

Minister Mektić informed Deputy Germain about measures BiH is implementing in fight agaist illegal migration and taking care of migrants in BiH.

Due to challenges BiH is dealing with in area of human trafficking, topics discussed also included enhancement of cooperation and financial support to victims of human trafficking.

Germain offered support of the USA in creating a more efficient system of protection and rescue, and possibility to respond to natural and other disasters faster, Ministry of Security of BiH stated.
