SARAJEVO, February 15 (FENA) – Book "Safarnama from Iran" by Hajrudin Somun was promoted at Sarajevo Bosniak Institute last night, within a ceremony which marks the 40th anniversary of the Iranian Islamic Revolution.

As BiH author Željko Ivanković said at the promotion, it is work which describes author's travels to the country since 1964.

Even though it focuses on cultural and literary values of the Iranian civilization, the author also described his experiences and views on Iranian Islamic Revolution 1978-1979, during which he was the only reporter for all media outlets from former Yugoslavia.

"Apart from myself, five more people have read the book. I would like to thank everyone who helped this book come to life, especially my wife who was patient and gave me important advice," said author of the book Hajrudin Somun.

He also witnessed the final stage of Iraqi-Iranian war from 1980 to 1988, when he was a diplomat in Bagdad and Tehran. During his travels he collected antiquities and art values which he will present at the Bosniak Institute for the first time.

Apart from the book promotion, there was also an exhibition of items mentioned in the book, whereas M.A. in history of Iranian art Parviz Muhamadi participated in the music section of the program.
