SARAJEVO, February 26 (FENA) - Minister of Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of Sarajevo Canton Malik Garibija visited Private Shelter for migrants in Ušivak and said the Government is ready to give contribution in controlling migrant crisis and its consequences.
He emphasized the situation in Ušivak is far from ideal, but it is still a location with best conditions and predispositions for organized care on migrants in Sarajevo and maybe in the entire BiH.
He added there are currently around 600 migrants in Ušivak.
Minister Garibija said they will try and coordinate efforts of dozen of institutions and organizations, as well as volunteers who are working hard on this problem.
"As it is unfair for the burden of migrant crisis in BiH to be on Una-Sana Canton, it is also unfair to let Hadžići municipality handle all problems of migrant crisis in Sarajevo Canton. SC must stand behind this local community and we need to carry the burden of migration together," said Garibija, SC Press Service stated.
