SARAJEVO, February 26 (FENA) - Head of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, General Colonel Senad Mašović and his associates, received today Major General Jan Broeks, Head of the International Military Staff of the NATO Command in Brussels.
The two sides discussed the topics in the field of security, as well as the current and future activities of the Armed Forces of BiH in the framework of international military cooperation, which contribute to the development of BiH on its path towards EU and NATO integration.
Major General Jan Broeks was briefed on the ongoing situation, activities and operations of AFBiH in the country and abroad, with special emphasis on the activities and participation of members of the Armed Forces of BiH in peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan, thus contributing to international peace and security.
Broeks praised the engagement of BiH Armed Forces members in peacekeeping operations, highlighting their significant contribution to peacebuilding and collective security in the world, stated the BiH Ministry of Defense.
