SARAJEVO, February 27 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić received today in an inaugural visit the United States Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Eric Nelson.
The interlocutors reaffirmed the excellent bilateral and friendly relations of the two countries, stressing that these relations would continue to develop in the future, in the form of unselfish US support for our country, regarding full membership in NATO and the European Union.
The two pointed out that the United States, as a guarantor of the Dayton Peace Agreement, remains strongly committed to preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Komšić said that the unselfish and continued support of the United States for the reform processes, crucial for its stability and functionality, is of great importance for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Komšić and Nelson also talked about the ongoing political situation in BiH, the process the government forming, strengthening of state institutions and the rule of law, especially in the segment of protection of fundamental human rights.
Komšić wished Ambassador Nelson a successful diplomatic term in BiH.
