SARAJEVO, May 27 (FENA) – President of Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir izetbegović said at a solemn session of the Main Board of the party, which was held in the Sarajevo City Hall last night to mark 29th anniversary of the party, that "we need to be more Bosnian and expand our influence in Croat and Serb corps".
Speaking about the past 29 years of the party, Izetbegović said that SDA should be proud of everything it has done and leadership it achieved.
He said Serbia is getting weapons, claiming they are doing so to preserve peace, to distract and discourage every attacker.
Republika Srpska, Izetbegović added, is forming a military against the Constitution and the law. They are introducing reserve police force, procuring army guns for police, organizing exercises with Serbian police.
"Milorad Dodik used to be a social democrat and he had normal and promising views on BiH and co-existence of its peoples. Once he got in power he slowly turned into an aggressive nationalist. He has been obstructing vitally important processes for the country and its citizens for a decade – reconciliation process, EU and NATO integration, intimidating foreign investors and partly due to such policy youth is leaving BiH and going to the European countries," said Izetbegović.
He emphasized that is why it is necessary to empower economy – especially the IT sector, education to have a strong youth, strengthen equip the police, strengthen defense industry, etc.
He added that Croat policy is fairer.
"During the latest meeting of SDA and HDZ delegations held in Mostar a month ago, Dragan Čović mentioned the third entity, saying that Croats do not have such intentions nor are mentioning it anymore. He repeated that at a press conference after the meeting. I hope he was sincere, because it is truly impossible to draw a map of a Croat entity considering the mix of Bosniaks and Croats in the Federation of BiH. What HNS advocates is institutional autonomy, which would be realized through amendments of the election Law. It would guarantee parity, that is, one third of important positions for the winning Croat party at the state government level, firstly in the Presidency of BiH," said Izetbegović.
SDA is not able to accept that formation of government is conditioned by HDZ, he added, but they need to accept the obligation to solve all rulings of local and European courts which refer to the election legislation.
"Realistic deadline for this is the end of 2019. Deadline for formation of government is now," said Izetbegović.
