SARAJEVO, May 27 (FENA) - Director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption Hasim Šabotić told FENA today that the case of the President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milan Tegeltija should be investigated by the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

He added that the Prosecutor’s Office, within its competencies, should perform all necessary checks of statements, media reports, published footage and subsequently, inform the public of what they have learned.

He says that the Prosecution is the one with exclusive jurisdiction to "to shed light on this case", which he considers to be an absolute priority.

Investigative journalism portal ‘Žurnal’ has recently published information about the alleged involvement of the HJPC President Milan Tegeltija in corruption-related criminal wrongdoings.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office opened a case after the media reports about Tegeltija's involvement in corruptive activities, and as FENA learned earlier in that institution, all the allegations published in the Žurnal’s findings are to be investigated.
