SARAJEVO, May 29 (FENA) - Several hundred citizens gathered in Sarajevo today to protest in front of the building where the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council, the Court of BiH and the BiH Prosecutor's Office are seated in order to show their revolt and dissatisfaction with the state of affairs in the judiciary.

The BiH Security Minister Dragan Mektić, who stated that he is a citizen who wants to build his future in BiH, says he has the right to demand that everyone be better in BiH and that everyone is safe and protected.

He emphasized that the HJPC, as it exists at the moment, has no purpose of its own, and that it has lost the trust of the citizens.

“The people need justice and security, because without it, there is no economic or any other development,” said Mektić, adding that the gathered people are not putting pressure on anyone but they are just demanding for the establishment of a state governed by the rule of law.

The protest was also attended by representatives of the groups “Justice for David” and “Justice for Dženan Memić”.

Protesters blocked the road in front of the main building of the state judicial institutions in Sarajevo.
