SARAJEVO, July 23 (FENA) – After the session of the BiH Council of Ministers, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirko Šarović stated that it is obvious that there is a political failure to form the Council of Ministers of BiH eight months after the election.

“It is possible that we will not have a Council of Ministers for a longer period of time. My feeling is that this hiatus will take some time because the existing political options cannot set up that coalition or constitute the Council of Ministers. In that case, other solutions will be sought,” said Šarović, who comes from the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS).

Speaking of other current issues, he said that the Government of Republika Srpska had submitted a ten-day agreement to the draft law on electricity and gas, and agreed to go further.

“It’s the turn of the Federation of BiH. So the Republika Srpska has given its consent, the Federation hasn’t yet. A few days ago, I had a meeting with Prime Minister Fadil Novalić and Minister Nermin Džindić and we will see what their response will be,” said Šarović.

In addition, he pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina has some important issues to be addressed in the forthcoming period, referring to the border with Croatia in the north and the construction of the Pelješac Bridge.

“The construction of this bridge is above all the interest of Croatia. BiH and its two entities should be interested in getting out to the open sea. It is of great interest to every man in the RS and FBiH to fight for the open sea but to protect the interest of constructing the Pelješac Bridge,” said Šarović.
