GORAŽDE, July 24 (FENA) - Mayor of Goražde Muhamed Ramović and President of the Union for Sustainable Return and Integration in Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirhunisa Zukić signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on joint implementation of economic development projects within the framework of sustainable return, as well as finding opportunities for the implementation of projects of development and strengthening of rural (agro) tourism.
The signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the City of Goražde and the Union for Sustainable Return and Integration in BiH came after the project "Let’s Make Life Better Together in Bosnia and Herzegovina" (BH Selo) was implemented by the Union for Sustainable Return, whose goal was to strengthen rural tourism in local communities.
“The subject of the signed Memorandum is the implementation of the program within the framework of Annex VII of the Dayton Peace Agreement, the development of rural (agro) tourism and the strengthening of the economic potentials of the City of Goražde,” said Mayor Ramović.
The goal of the Memorandum is the cooperation that will explore possibilities for the implementation of economic development projects within the framework of sustainable return and integration, cooperation on finding opportunities for development projects and strengthening of rural (agro) tourism, as well as strengthening of individual, rural family farms.
The Memorandum also envisages directing and coordinating the activities of the promoters of the tourism offer, expansion and raising the level of quality of tourism content in rural tourism and the creation of activities of a tourist environment in the territory of Goražde.
Cooperation is also foreseen in the implementation of projects financed by domestic and international funds, as well as the strengthening cooperation between local government and civil society organizations.
