MOSTAR, August 5 (FENA) – Organized by the European Union Delegation in BiH and in the presence of the Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, a meeting of leaders of political parties, victors at the 2018 General Elections, has been held on Monday regarding the formation of the government in BiH.
Leaders of SDA, SNSD and HDZ BiH reached an agreement on the formation of government at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“I express satisfaction that the persistent insisting of the Croatian side on dialogue and agreement bore fruit and this will achieve progress and, I hope, the electoral victors will be able to form the government. The persistent commitment to urgent government formation is a highlighted and recognized priority of our work, which establishes the basis for the further development and progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović.
“It is of key importance that the joint statement, i.e. the work program of the future Council of Ministers and the parliamentary majority at the state level contains the clearly stated implementation of verdicts of domestic and European courts in regard to the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in order to secure constitutional and institutional equality for citizens, as well as their legitimate representation in accordance with the electoral will,” Čović said.
“This is in the interest of all the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina and it is key to the building of BiH as a modern European country in which the equality of all constituent people will be respected and which will progress towards a better future,” concluded Dragan Čović.
