Crnadak: To resolve dilemma on whether to submit ANP and activate MAP ASAP

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, August 7 (FENA) - BiH Foreign Minister Igor Crnadak issued a press release requesting that the dilemma of “whether BiH will activate the MAP by sending the first ANP or cancel the MAP” be resolved as soon as possible.

“Two days have passed, and the signatories to the Agreement on the Formation of the Council of Ministers of BiH continue to keep both the domestic and international public uncertain about one of the most important issues of BiH's foreign policy, relations with NATO. Continuation of this situation will show the seriousness of BiH on the international stage, because even European officials are not sure what they have supported - whether BiH will activate the MAP or whether the MAP was put out of force on Monday. That is why I urge, first of all, the members of the BiH Presidency and the signatories to the Agreement, to state clearly whether BiH will activate the MAP in accordance with the 2009 Presidency Decision, by sending the first Annual National Plan (ANP) or whether the new majority will decide not to send the ANP,” says Crnadak.

This is necessary, as the Minister adds, not only because of the credibility of BiH on the international stage, but also because of the need to prepare BiH diplomatic missions and consular posts in NATO countries and at NATO headquarters in Brussels in an appropriate manner for future action, the Press Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
