ZENICA, August 16 (FENA) - Zenica Citizens’ Forum will organize the event "830 Years of Ban Kulin’s Charter" on the occasion of its anniversary, on August 29, and this year's sponsors are Chairman and Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić and Šefik Džaferović, respectively.
“We have endeavored to mark this anniversary of the signing of Ban Kulin’s Charter with a series of cultural and historical events. The central event will be held on August 29 at Kulin ban Park, where we expect members of the BiH Presidency to attend,” announced the President of Zenica Citizens’ Forum, Faruk Kadrić, at today's press conference.
He stressed out that they have prepared this event throughout the year and that some programs will be held in September and October as well.
A scientific meeting will be organized together with the University of Zenica - a round table on the topic "What is Ban Kulin to us?" and promotion of the book "Kulin, the Great Ban of Bosnia" by late professor Salih Jalimam.
A delegation of the City of Dubrovnik from Croatia is also invited to the anniversary on August 29. The State Archives in Dubrovnik contains one of the originals of the Ban Kulin’s Charter and the other one is in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
