"Silver Arrow" joint military exercise of BiH and US armed forces begins today

TUZLA, September 9 (FENA) - A joint military exercise of members of the armed forces of the United States and Bosnia and Herzegovina has officially begun with landing of a C-130 aircraft from the Aviano NATO base at Dubrava Air Force Base. The exercise "Silver Arrow" will last four days.

“As part of the exercise, members of the armed forces will be trained in boarding and disembarking the C-130 Hercules aircraft and aircraft guidance. The purpose of the exercise is to raise the level of interoperability with the NATO forces and thereby pave the way for BiH towards NATO,” said Major Miodrag Pavlović, Information Officer of the 5th Infantry Brigade of the AFBiH.

Training of air traffic controllers is also planned during the exercise.

Exercise "Silver Arrow" supports NATO integration and interoperability for Bosnia and Herzegovina, with participation of the US Air Force in the exercise improving interoperability with the BiH Armed Forces, as stated in the 5th Brigade, as well as commitment to security and stability in the Balkans.
