ZENICA, September 17 (FENA) - Sales exhibition "13th Organic Production Days of FBiH", which includes exhibits of local handicrafts, is being held today and tomorrow at Alija Izetbegović Square in Zenica, organized by the Association of Organic Producers of FBiH,
“This year, we gathered 24 exhibitors, 16 of them from the Zenica area, and the rest are from other FBiH cities. Most exhibitors are producers of honey and herbal preparations,” says President of the Association of Organic Producers of FBiH Sejad Herceg.
He announced that the "Golden basket of organic products" award will be presented tomorrow, when the opening ceremony is scheduled.
Organic sector, as Herceg points out, could be the future of BiH and contribute to stabilizing agricultural production, but it should be strengthened through construction of resource centers.
“We do not have accurate records of organic producers, but we estimate that there are about 70 of them in the FBiH. Of course, not all of them are registered,” Herceg stated, adding that registration also entails a cost for the manufacturer.
