SARAJEVO, October 3 (FENA) - After hours-long negotiations, BH-Gas and ‘Gas promet’ signed an Agreement on the transportation of gas to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina last night.
FBiH Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Nermin Džindić said at a press conference after the meeting that citizens will have gas immediately.
Minister Džindić stated the failure to adopt a state gas law, as one of the possible reasons for this situation.
“We have a blockade at the BiH Council of Ministers, that law should go into procedure, because the FBiH and RS have given 'green light',” Džindić said.
Speaking about Serbia-Gas, the minister said that everything was signed and that ambiguities were avoided.
BH Gas Director Jasmin Salkić said an agreement was reached in the best interests of both the state and the entities.
He stressed that they agreed to pass a state law so that citizens would no longer be in a situation where others would "turn off" their gas.
The director of 'Gas promet' Milomir Draganić emphasized that the problem was finally resolved and that "Gas promet" would immediately start transporting gas to the FBiH.
The Zvornik based company ‘Gas promet’ stopped the gas supply to the Federation of BiH. The entity of RS claimed that BH-Gas did not renew the contract for the next year.
