BiH to host next IMF/WB Constituency Meeting

SARAJEVO / WASHINGTON, October 20 (FENA) - The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Zvizdić, attended the regular meeting of the Dutch-Belgian Constituency of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington.

They discussed the economic development and financial stability of the member states of that group.

The meeting announced that Bosnia and Herzegovina will host the next Constituency Meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, which will be held in Sarajevo in June 2020.

Addressing the attendees, Chairman Zvizdić said that, after a very successful EBRD conference in May this year, the organization of the Constituency Meeting in Sarajevo, would be another opportunity to bring together representatives of high fiscal and monetary policy of the member states to exchange views and discuss the IMF and World Bank policies and programs.

“I am convinced that the Constituency Meeting will further enhance our good cooperation. I look forward to welcoming you to Sarajevo in June 2020,” said Chairman Zvizdić.

The Dutch-Belgian Constituency, besides BiH, includes 14 more countries: Armenia, Bulgaria, Belgium, Cyprus, Georgia, Croatia, Israel, Luxembourg, North Macedonia, Moldova, the Netherlands, Romania, Ukraine and Montenegro.

Governor of the Central Bank of BiH, Senad Softić, also attended the IMF/WB Constituency Meeting, the Council of Ministers of BiH announced.
