SARAJEVO, October 29 (FENA) - Vice-president of ‘Our Party’ (Naša stranka) Irma Baralija, said in Sarajevo today that the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg has unanimously ruled in favor of her appeal against Bosnia and Herzegovina for failing to hold elections in the City of Mostar.

She explained that the ECHR found that there have been a violation of the general prohibition of discrimination in the European Convention on Human Rights in that case and ordered the BiH Parliamentary Assembly to reach an agreement on holding elections in Mostar within six months.

“If that does not happen, the Constitutional Court of BiH has the right to impose an interim solution,” Baralija stressed.

She emphasized that what makes her the happiest is that this decision finally brings democracy back to Mostar and brings assurance that elections will be held in that city next year.

Baralija stated that those who have made arbitrary decisions to date will have to be held accountable.
