SARAJEVO, November 5 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Denis Zvizdić met with Head of the World Bank Office in BiH Emanuel Salinas today.
They expressed mutual satisfaction that, with the support of the World Bank in the past period, BiH has implemented a number of very significant projects in various fields, in particular, the reform of the health sector, restructuring of public companies, and the deadlock in ratification of additional financing of the Energy Efficiency Project, which has so far proved extremely useful in practice.
They also discussed drafting of a new agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the World Bank, the BiH Parliamentary Assembly stated.
This document, which should start preparing by the end of this year, will define sectors and areas within which various projects that the World Bank is ready to support will be implemented.
The interlocutors emphasized the need to accelerate implementation of the initiated projects supported by the World Bank in BiH, especially the part related to the continuation of the Energy Efficiency Project implementation, as well as the Banking Strengthening Project in BiH.
At the same time, the conversation underlined the need to monitor and continually improve the effectiveness of World Bank-supported projects in BiH.
