SARAJEVO, November 19 (FENA) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić joined the #ListentotheChild campaign of UNICEF BiH in the marking of the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
He talked to a little girl Iman about his favorite toys, how much adults listened to him as a child and what is it that he wants for every child.
“Being president is sometimes nice, sometimes ugly, it depends. It's hard, people look at you, you must not let people down,” said Komšić at the beginning of the interview, and Iman wondered if they listened to him when he was a child.
“They listened to me, especially from the age of one to the age of seven when I was the only child, and then I got a sister and they started listening to her more than me,” Komšić said.
"I know what it's like," Iman added and smiled, and then asked Komšić about his favorite childhood toys.
Amel Tuka, Larisa Cerić, Brankica Raković, Ana Bavrka, Boris Šavija, Amila Terzimehić and others spoke with the children today about their rights and what it was like to grow up back then.
UNICEF BiH Representative for BiH Rownak Khan also took part in one of the interviews, and the BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović joined the campaign as well, with a video address saying that children are more important than all the politics in BiH.
UNICEF BiH with its campaign #ListentotheChild celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child through mobilizing support from all sides - from children, schools, institutions to famous persons and media personalities, UNICEF BiH stated.
