SARAJEVO, November 20 (FENA) - BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić met with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bosnia and Herzegovina Mahmoud Heidari today.
Heidari extended congratulations and greetings of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, on the occasion of November 25 - Bosnia and Herzegovina's Statehood Day. He also stated that Iran supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, welcoming the agreement reached by the BiH Presidency members on the formation of a new convocation of the BiH Council of Ministers.
The interlocutors agreed that the relations between the two countries are friendly and good, but emphasized that there is certainly room for enhancement, especially in the fields of economy, education and culture.
Komšić thanked for the congratulatory note on the occasion of the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, sent by the Iranian President. He also expressed his appreciation for the support Iran provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina and said he would continue to work on improving overall relations between the two countries in the future, the BiH Presidency announced.
