Palmer meets with MPs in Sarajevo Canton Assembly

SARAJEVO, December 5 (FENA) - United States Special Representative for the Western Balkans Matthew Palmer met and spoke today with deputies of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, one of the participants of the meeting Jasna Duraković (Alliance for Better Future of BiH) confirmed for FENA.

In her words, Palmer supported the current Sarajevo Canton government and expressed his hope that this practice would continue and assessed it as very good.

Vedran Jakupović, deputy of the People and Justice Party, participated in the meeting and emphasized that the Ambassador expressed a wish to talk with the representatives of the ruling majority in the SC Assembly and expressed support for change of the concept of government in the Sarajevo Canton, as well as the perception of the government that is elected to serve citizens, which is an honor and not privilege for personal interests.

The meeting and conversation with Palmer was about basic information regarding the situation in the Sarajevo Canton, the activities of the government and their plans for future.

US Ambassador to BiH Eric Nelson also attended the meeting.

The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) confirmed to FENA that thier representatives had not been invited to this meeting.
