Košarac: Possibility of forming representative office of FTC BiH in Brussels

SARAJEVO, January 3 (FENA) - BiH Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Staša Košarac met and spoke today with BiH Foreign Trade Chamber (FTC) President Vjekoslav Vuković and his deputies Nemanja Vasić and Ahmet Egrlić.

Minister Košarac emphasized that the basic commitment of the Ministry is to protect domestic production, while respecting international agreements, and to present BiH's potential, to develop private enterprise and foreign investment.

“The Ministry, respecting the constitutional competences, will serve the economic and business community in this country. Special attention will be paid to issues of cooperation between the Ministry, the FTC BiH and the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) in BiH,” the Minister said.

The interlocutors discussed the organization of domestic and international fairs, and stated that emphasis should be put on their effects. Minister Košarac said that further efforts should be made in affirming the achieved results of the FTC BiH.

They discussed, among other things, the possibility of forming a representative office of the FTC BiH in Brussels and the steps that should be taken in that case, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH announced.
