SARAJEVO, January 15 (FENA) - Deputies of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) have completed the appointment of members in the joint committees of both Houses of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, as well as members of delegations to international institutions at today's session.
The House of Representatives of the BiH PA should also complete this work tomorrow so that the nomination process within the BiH Parliamentary Assembly is completed 15 months after the general elections.
Members of the delegation to the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PSVE) were appointed, and this issue has been problem for a long time, as BiH was the only one of the 47 Member States that did not have delegation in that body.
The BiH PA deputies appointed delegations to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA), to the Parliamentary Assembly of the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance (NATO), to the Central European Initiative (CEI), to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean,the Parliamentary Assembly of the Southeast Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP) and the Parliamentary Assembly Francophonie.
Also, the BiH PA deputies appointed members of six joint committees of both Houses of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly from the House of Peoples. These are joint committees on defense and security of BiH, for oversight of the work of the BiH Intelligence and Security Agency, on economic reforms and development, European integration, administrative affairs and human rights.
The appointment of the joint bodies of both Houses of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly and international delegations ended today's session of the BiH PA House of Peoples.
