BiH PA does not accept proposal to review BiH Reform Program

SARAJEVO, January 16 (FENA) - Deputies in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly did not accept Dragan Mektić’s (SDS) proposal to include the BiH Reform Program November 2019 - November 2020 on the agenda of today's session.

To add this item to the agenda, 13 deputies voted in favor of this decision, 14 opposed, while 13 abstained, so the proposal did not have a general majority for adoption.

The agenda that has been adopted contains several legislative proposals, including the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Administrative Disputes of BiH.

They will discuss the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Financing of Institutions of BiH, the Bill on Amendments to the Patent Law, as well as the Bill on Amendments to the Law on the Judicial Police of BiH, proposed by the BiH Council of Ministers.

The Bill on the Prevention of Conflict of Interests in the Institutions of Government of BiH is also on the agenda, proposed by MPs Saša Magazinović, Damir Arnaut and Jasmin Emrić.

The deputies will also discuss the principles of the Bill amending the Law on Permanent and Temporary Residence of BiH Citizens, proposed by MP Zlatan Begić.

Among other things, it envisages the election of members of the joint committees of both houses of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly from the House of Representatives: Joint Committee on Defense and Security of BiH; Joint Committee on Supervision of the work of BiH Intelligence and Security Agency; Joint Economic Reform and Development Committee; Joint Committee on European Integration; Joint Committee on Administrative Affairs; Joint Committee on Human Rights.

Also, the appointment of members of the delegations of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly from the House of Representatives is envisaged: BiH PA delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Group of BiH in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU); BiH PA delegation to the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PSVE); BiH PA delegation to the Organization for Security and Co-operation (OSCE PA); BiH PA delegation to the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance (NATO); BiH PA delegation to the Central European Initiative (CEI); BiH PA delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM); BiH PA delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean; BiH PA delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Southeast Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP), BiH PA delegation to the Francophonie.
