SARAJEVO, January 16 (FENA) - At the request of the Democratic People's Alliance (DNS), a proposal to appoint Mlađen Božović as Minister of Human Rights and Refugees was withdrawn from the agenda of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, confirmed to reporters in Sarajevo today Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija (SNSD).

Confirmation of the appointment of the Minister of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mlađen Božović, who was nominated for this post by the DNS, was to be on the agenda of today's session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, but this item was removed from the agenda at the request of Tegeltija as a proponent.

The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) caucus asked the proposer to postpone the appointment until the next session.

As Tegeltija explained, the reason for postponing the appointment is the fact that within the parliamentary majority there was no agreement on that appointment and further consultations have been requested.

“It was clear that there were not enough votes to appoint Božović. Our nomination still remains. There are certain blockades in this regard, but there are no obstacles for us,” he added.

He expressed hope that all consultations would be completed by February 4, when a new session of the House of Representatives is scheduled, at which Tegeltija expects the appointment of Božović as BiH Minister of Human Rights and Refugees.
