SARAJEVO, January 28 (FENA) - The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bosnia and Herzegovina announced today that it has the information that Chinese citizens who reside and work in BiH and are currently in China have voluntarily proposed 15-day isolation and measures upon returning to BiH, strict protection against viruses and careful monitoring of their own health situation.
It is said in the statement that since the outbreak of pneumonia caused by the new coronavirus, the authorities in the PR China have attached great importance to this health issue.
“President Xi Jinping has given important instructions to take decisive action to combat the epidemic. The Chinese government has taken effective and expert measures to prevent and control it.
We are determined and confident that we will successfully control the epidemic and suppress the spread of the virus. With an open, transparent and highly accountable attitude towards global health and safety, the Chinese institutions have promptly informed the World Health Organization, relevant countries and regions of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan about the epidemic, and shared the information on the genes of the new coronavirus in the shortest possible time and continue to maintain close communication with the international community,” the statement said.
It is also noted that the World Health Organization and the governments of all countries have praised the measures taken by the Chinese side.
“At the moment, no confirmed or suspected case of pneumonia caused by the new coronavirus has been detected in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Chinese Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina is prepared to maintain communication and cooperate with the authorities in BiH in any aspect of the matter.
In addition, as the embassy stated, Chinese nationals residing and working in Bosnia and Herzegovina who are currently based in China, have voluntarily proposed initiatives and measures of isolation for 15 days upon returning to BiH, as a strict protection against viruses and careful monitoring of their health situation,” stated the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
