SARAJEVO, January 28 (FENA) – Deputy Chair of the BiH Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bisera Turković, received today Head of the World Bank Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Emanuel Salinas, PR Office of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
They discussed World Bank's projects and programs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Minister Turković expressed her gratitude to the World Bank for its contribution and implementation of projects in our country. She stressed that the World Bank will have a good partner in the Council of Ministers of BiH to give our country a fresh impetus to carry out the necessary economic reforms in order to create a more favorable business environment for business and entrepreneurs and attract foreign direct investment.
The Head of the World Bank Office for BiH presented to Minister Turković the priorities of the World Bank program outlined in the joint partnership with Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stressed that BiH must use its potential more and added that more work was needed in BiH to create new jobs, reduce barriers to business and unnecessary administrative barriers for entrepreneurs and businesses. He informed the Minister about the preparation of the document for cooperation with the authorities in BiH for the period 2021-2025.
Minister Turković and Head of the World Bank Office for BiH Salinas agreed that it is necessary to accelerate activities to improve implementation of World Bank projects and to simplify procedures in the BiH administration.
