BANJA LUKA, January 31 (FENA) - BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija said today that he hopes that entity prime ministers Fadil Novalić and Radovan Višković will soon agree on alignment of indirect tax revenue so that the problem is not resolved on the court.

"I also think that an agreement has been prepared to end the issue," Tegeltija said.

He is convinced that by the next session of the House of Representatives there is enough time to agree on the appointment of Mladjen Božović as Minister of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH, reiterating his view that all necessary procedures have been carried out and that this appointment has not been limited.

Tegeltija pointed out that there must be a new investment cycle for significant economic growth in BiH, which is about three percent and is not sufficient to clearly show a positive effect on the standard of living of workers.

"Public entity companies can contribute to this through better use of resources and management," Tegeltija said, adding that private sector also needs to participate more in the structure of total GDP.

After meeting with the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska (RS), Tegeltija said that they had talked on resolving problems affecting the overall economic environment in both BiH entities.

“The Council of Ministers of BiH has reached an agreement on the formation of five working groups, which will be representatives of employers' associations and line entity ministries, and will deal with the protection of the domestic economy, VAT, the law on public procurement, traffic and work relief, reduction of collective contribution rates, which would be reflected in employee salaries,” Tegeltija said at the press conference.

President of the RS Chamber of Commerce Borko Djurić said greater economic growth must be ensured while boosting competitiveness, increasing productivity and more efficient public administration, which would work for the benefit of the economy.

“A significant investment in technological development is necessary,” Djurić said, expressing his hope that a solution would be reached to allocate around one billion KM of funds from the Government and businessmen for these purposes in the next three-year cycle.

Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH Vojin Mitrović has also announced meetings with representatives of the economy in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to facilitate business and reduce costs and speed up the movement of goods and passengers in entity, inter-entity and international transport.
