BRATUNAC, February 9 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the BiH Council of Ministers, Staša Košarac said on Saturday that the priority of the ministry is the completion of the border crossing with the industrial zone at the new bridge between Bratunac and Ljubovija in Serbia.
He said that the new convocation of the Council of Ministers of BiH has approved 14.5 million KM for the construction of the border crossing and that the works should start in a few days.
After visiting the 'Bratoljub' Bridge, he said it would be a big step for Bratunac in terms of increasing the flow of people and goods.
"I am particularly pleased that the local community intends to form an industrial zone in addition to this border crossing and to consider a duty free zone," Košarac told reporters.
Mayor of Bratunac, Nedeljko Mladenović, specified that the deadline for the construction of the border crossing depends on the project determined dynamics of the works and the technical capabilities of the selected contractor.
During his visit to the Bratunac Technical and Repair Institute, Košarac said it was necessary to create conditions for equal treatment of the military industry in both of the BiH entities.
"It is very important from the aspect of foreign trade expansion that the products of the military industry generate about 300 million KM of annual turnover," said Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH.
