SARAJEVO, February 14 (FENA) - MP Denis Bećirović proposed a new agenda item "Information on anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional attacks by the BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik on the Constitutional Court of BiH, with particular reference to threatening the constitutional order and the peace process in BiH” at the session of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly session taking place today.
Bećirović informed the MPs that this morning he formally submitted to the parliamentary procedure a proposal providing for an amendment to Article 6, paragraph 1 of the BiH Constitution, in such a way that the BiH Constitutional Court has 12 members in the future, of whom the President of the European Court of Human Rights, after consultation with the BiH Presidency, after these amendments, should appoint six members to the Constitutional Court of BiH.
Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples Nikola Špirić replied that “until there is a Serb caucus here, Milorad Dodik will not be on the agenda of the House of Peoples.”
“Not because we do not need to discuss everything, but I don't think your hatred is good for anyone in BiH. You have to know that in this House the Serbs are the ones making decisions as much as the second club and the third club,” Špirić said.
“Milorad Dodik will not be the item on the agenda, I promise you,” Špirić repeated.
After the vote on Denis Bećirović's proposal, six deputies were in favor, eight against and one abstained, meaning that this proposal did not receive the necessary support to be included in the agenda of today's session.
