SARAJEVO, February 20 (FENA) – Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Staša Košarac met with German Ambassador to BiH Margret Uebber in Sarajevo yesterday to discuss economic and political issues.
Minister Košarac reiterated that the European Union is BiH's most important foreign policy goal and that further efforts are needed to implement reforms, the BiH Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations stated.
The two officials discussed bilateral cooperation between BiH and Germany, and they emphasized it is important to schedule a meeting of the working group of two countries for economic cooperation, appreciating the need for new foreign investments in BiH and placing products from BiH on the German market.
They also talked about the current political situation in BiH after the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH regarding the status of agricultural land in Republika Srpska, which the interlocutors did not agree on.
Minister Košarac said that the issue of the Constitutional Court of BiH is political from the point of view of the dissatisfaction of the two constituent peoples in BiH with the way the institution functions, as well as the presence of foreign judges in the Constitutional Court of BiH.
