Presidency member Džaferović receives Russian Ambassador Ivantsov

SARAJEVO, February 24 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović today received Russian Ambassador to BiH Petr Ivantsov.

The two officials discussed bilateral cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Russian Federation, the current political moment in the country, as well as the forthcoming commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the victory over fascism.

Discussing the current political issues in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BiH Presidency member Džaferović referred to the role of the OHR and the international community through its work in the Peace Implementation Council, as well as the importance of foreign judges in the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina being appointed by the President of the European Court of Human Rights.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Ivantsov briefed Džaferović about the preparations to mark the 75th anniversary of the victory over fascism, and the intention of the organizers to invite members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the ceremony, the BiH Presidency said.
