SARAJEVO, February 26 (FENA) - A passenger scanning station has been set up at the Sarajevo International Airport to reduce the potential for the spread of coronavirus.
The scanning station has been set up by the FBiH Sanitary Border Inspection, Sarajevo Airport Unit, where passengers fill in a questionnaire related to their current state of health.
Passengers are also obliged to give information on the place and address of intended stay in BiH, a number of persons, the period of stay, and contact phone numbers also need to be provided,” told FENA spokeswoman of the Sarajevo International Airport Sanja Bagarić.
She added that "the screening of passengers is carried out in accordance with the order of the Crisis Staff of the FBiH Ministry of Health."
“Passengers from all incoming flights at the Sarajevo International Airport have to comply with the scanning procedure,” Bagarić said.
According to her, the unit is paying special attention to travelers coming from China, South Korea, Italy and Iran.
“At the same time, passengers are given leaflets with instructions on how to act if, subsequently, during their intended stay in BiH, they notice any symptoms, or who exactly to contact in that case. The leaflet includes telephone numbers of the nearest Public Health Institutes,” Bagarić said.
