TUZLA, March 6 (FENA) - Representatives of the Employers Group of the Tuzla Canton with the Association of Employers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina today spoke with FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić about the current reform issues in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and negative developments in the global economic market following the emergence of coronavirus, as the consequences are also felt by the businesses in the FBiH.

Prime Minister Novalić said that coronavirus emergence and the migrant crisis have become daily and ongoing issues.

“The migrant crisis is a danger that is looming all over Europe. We were able to suppress this crisis by building some capacities in Bihać. And it is quite certain that some of these people will end up here in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said the Prime Minister Fadil Novalić said in a statement to the media.

He said that there is already a project to build a new migrant center.

“Thanks to the assistance of the European Union and the FBiH Government, we have the capacity in the Blažuj barracks and we will build a new 1,800-person capacity migrant center at the location outside of Bihać. We have already gotten engaged on this issue as the FBiH Government,” said Novalić, after the meeting in Tuzla.

He added that the migrant crisis remains a major threat to BiH as more than 150,000 people have been on the move from Greece to Turkey.

“It is quite certain that some people will end up here. We have a plan to build a new migrant center but this new wave also demands a new energy,” said Novalić, adding that he believes Tuzla is pursuing a wrong policy on the migrant issue.

“As the Government, we have already been activated because of the inadequate policy of the City of Tuzla, which has avoided solving the migrant problem. Now we have started to solve these problems and find the capacities for the Tuzla region. The migrant crisis, like the coronavirus one, is a consequence of global events,” emphasized Novalić.

The FBiH Prime Minister also emphasized that it is very important that the whole society is involved in solving these problems.
