SARAJEVO, March 11 (FENA) - Marking of the 70th anniversary of the weapons and ammunition company „Igman“ Konjic started with the commencing of the international panel „Global Military Industry Market - Trends and Analyses“, where FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić and company director Đahid Muratbegović, with business partners from America, Asia and Europe, emphasized that „Igman“ has developed a recognizable ammunition product which is present even in the western market.
The highest demand is for the 7.62×39mm round, followed by the 12.7 mm round.
Prime Minister Novalić congratulated the „Igman” Konjic company and management on its success, stating that 70 years is a really long period.
„It's all a matter of management and leadership. The director is an excellent manager of this company and this is evident, which is not the case with all companies in the military industry,” said Novalić.
Weapons used in combat must be important and thus the Government of the Federation of BiH will continue to support the “Igman” Konjic company, it was said.
“Based on 15 years of cooperation with Igman, I can say that this company has developed very well in terms of production and marketing. Prime Minister Novalić mentioned investments, that he invests a lot in resources and people, and we as clients notice that. 'Igman' has the unmatched ability to respond to the strict requirements of the United States in terms of products,” said Global Ordnance LLC Sarasota owner Marc Morales.
The marking of the anniversary continued with a solemn ceremony at which multi-million dollar contracts will be signed with business partners from Egypt and Switzerland.
