SARAJEVO, March 12 (FENA) - There is no room for panic, but increased caution is needed for all of us. That is why I urge you to follow and strictly adhere to orders, instructions and recommendations of crisis staffs, competent ministries and expert medical teams, said BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović in a message to citizens regarding the declaration of coronavirus pandemic.
“I urge you to be careful when informing about coronavirus and measures that are being taken. Use only information from official institutions or experts and published by credible media,” Džaferović emphasized.
He emphasized that sensationalist texts and articles should be avoided without clearly stated sources, because spreading fake news and rumors create panic and further complicate the overall situation.
“I call on governments and institutions at all levels to urgently consider measures within their jurisdiction in order to mitigate the economic impact that will inevitably occur,” Džaferović said.
He emphasized that the competent state institutions at all levels, as well as medical institutions throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, are taking all necessary measures to prevent spread of the virus.
