BANJA LUKA, March 13 (FENA) - RS Ministry of Health announced today that new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) has been confirmed in two other people in the Republika Srpska (RS), bringing the total number in this BiH entity increased to 10.
These are one child and one young person from close contact with a man and his wife who were confirmed positive yesterday and who have had close contact with a person confirmed to have coronavirus in Slovenia.
They are feeling well, they are in home isolation, and the doctors of the Hygienic and Epidemiological Service of the Health Center Banja Luka will monitor their health, the RS Ministry of Health stated.
Currently, ten people in the Republika Srpska have been infected with the new coronavirus, two of whom are at the Department of Infectious Diseases at the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska and eight are in home isolation. All patients are feeling well and none are vitally vulnerable.
There are currently 488 people in Republika Srpska under medical watch coming from virus-infected areas (SARS-CoV-2), with 132 completing the medical watch, it is said in a statement.
Government of the Republika Srpska has paid four million KM today to the entity's Institute of Public Health.
The money is earmarked for the purchase of respirators, a million pieces of masks, and 30.000 protective suits.
The RS Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and the Institute for Public Health are performing epidemiological surveillance and will continue to regularly inform citizens of the epidemiological situation regarding the new coronavirus in that BiH entity.
The entity government reminds citizens to listen to relevant services, to understand the situation and to behave responsibly to protect their own and other people's health.
