SARAJEVO, March 18 (FENA) - A series of binding measures for all governments in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina were adopted last night at a meeting of the FBiH Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ) in Sarajevo over a coronavirus pandemic.

As explained by the Director of the FBiH Civil Protection Administration, Fahrudin Solak, all forms of public gathering, the operation of cafes, bars, restaurants, service facilities, and the work of cultural institutions such as cinemas, theaters, museums, galleries and the like are prohibited.

Exemptions are food delivery facilities as well as soup kitchens, but according to epidemiological standards.

According to Solak, this is the first set of measures that may be further expanded.

“The measures are strict. We had meetings with farmers, employers. This is all in order to protect people,“ he said.

The shutdown of catering and cultural facilities takes effect today (Wednesday), March 18, from 6 a.m.

Solak stressed that these measures are binding on all governments in the FBiH, and that they will be expanded in the days that follow, depending on the epidemiological situation.
