BANJA LUKA, March 19 (FENA) - The Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina is operating normally and all its business processes are being conducted within its competence.

"All customs offices work the same way as they did before the coronavirus (COVID 19) epidemic, full-time at all locations," told FENA the Head of the ITA Department of Communications and International Cooperation Ratko Kovačević.

Import and export clearance procedures are carried out as soon as possible in accordance with legal requirements. All trucks entering BiH, regardless of where the goods came from, complete all the import customs procedures at the customs outlets, with special instructions at the entry to BiH at the border crossings. The BiH Border Police and sanitary inspection are instructing drivers from abroad.

When it comes to border crossings, and given the new situation, a decrease in passenger motor vehicles is evident, but also at certain border crossings such as Gradiška, Šamac, Brod, Rača, Bijača, Izačić, Gradina. Goods are coming to BiH from all countries, as it was before," Kovacevic emphasized.

In the period from March 1 to March 18 this year, as Kovačrvić added, ITA collected a total of KM 472 million, which is KM 58 million more than in the same period in 2019, which indicates that all business processes run normally and without delay.
