SARAJEVO, March 19 (FENA) - Statements of BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik on establishment of police checkpoints along the inter-entity boundary line are unacceptable. The RS Government does not have the constitutional authority to make any decisions on the engagement of police forces along the entity line, and any action that would lead to the implementation of the announced activities would be the gravest violation of the law and the Dayton Peace Agreement, warns FBiH Interior Minister Aljoša Čampara.
As he stated, announcements about the establishment of police checkpoints of the BiH entity of RS on the inter-entity boundary line will remain only the unfulfilled wishes and dreams of Milorad Dodik.
"Such dreams, which never became a reality, Dodik has often dreamed of in the past. I warn the authorities in the RS not to embark on such adventures, because as we will have a response to the anti-Dayton activities of the RS. Milorad Dodik's statements about the establishment of entity police checkpoints, as the whole country is prioritizing the prevention of coronavirus infection, represent the anti-civilization, immoral and irresponsible behavior of the individual. Dodik would be smarter and more useful to RS residents if he focused his energy and budget on improving the health system and fighting an invisible enemy who does not choose between the administrative-territorial units within the state of BiH. Attempts to use the coronavirus pandemic to realize the SNSD's political goals and interests are shameful," concluded Čampara.
