SARAJEVO, March 26 (FENA) - Sanela Pašić, President of the Board of Directors of the Banks Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BABiH), said today at a press conference in Sarajevo that banks in BiH are more than aware of the problem we are experiencing and the impact the economy is experiencing after the new Covid-19 coronavirus.
“Banks want and will be partners to their clients, legal entities and individuals, as well as to the Government, the Employers Association and our supervisor in overcoming these problems by giving loan benefits to their clients,” Pašić announced.
She added that their supervisor had prescribed a basic framework in which those benefits should be defined and the decision would take effect today or tomorrow. The task of bankers in the coming days is to precisely define its contents based on this framework.
This will mean that the banks will have to provide answers to whom and how the modification is given and the process is very complicated, which will take several days to complete, and several principles will be followed in the decisions.(FENA) A.B.
