Šeranić: In past 24 hours, 17 persons tested positive for coronavirus

BANJA LUKA, April 1 (FENA) - Republika Srpska (RS) Minister of Health and Social Welfare Alen Šeranić said today that coronavirus has been confirmed for 17 more people in that BiH entity, a total of 243 in the RS.

In the past 24 hours, 157 samples were tested in the RS for Covid-19.

Four newly infected persons are from Bijeljina, two from Kotor Varoš, two from East Ilidža and Pale as well, one in Banja Luka, Milići, Zvornik, Šekovići, Mrkonjić Grad, Teslić and Ribnik.

Eight women and nine men, mostly middle-aged and younger are infected with coronavirus in the last testing.

Šeranić said that eight newly infected cases are from family clusters, while six cases are from direct contact with a person positive for coronavirus.

At the University Clinical Center (UKC) of RS there are also six patients that need the respirator.

So far, 1.806 persons have been tested in the RS.

There are currently 11.918 persons under medical supervision in the RS, with 8.334 who have finished the period of medical supervision.

“There are currently 13 people in the Republika Srpska (RS) who have recovered from coronavirus,” RS Minister of health and social welfare, Alen Šeranić, confirmed.
