Minister Turković meets with Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjarto

SARAJEVO, April 16 (FENA) - BiH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bisera Turković met with Hungarian Foreign and Trade Minister Péter Szijjárto in Sarajevo on the occasion of his visit to BiH and delivery of Hungary's assistance to help the fight against coronavirus donating 200,000 protective masks and 10,000 protective suits.

A meeting between Minister Turković and Minister Szijjárto was followed by a meeting of official delegations of the two foreign ministries, where information and views on the state of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries were exchanged.

They stated that the two countries have very good political relations and there is need to focus on strengthening economic cooperation in the coming period after the situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic calms down.

Minister Turković thanked Hungary for its consistent support for BiH's European and Euro-Atlantic integration processes.

She emphasized that the EU and NATO are strategic priorities of BiH's foreign policy, and it is very important to have the support of friendly countries such as Hungary in these processes.

In this regard, she emphasized that BiH appreciates Hungary's commitment to BiH's faster access to the European Union, both bilaterally and through the Visegrad Group, and the significant contribution of the International Visegrad Fund, the PR Office of the BiH MoFA stated.
