EAST SARAJEVO, April 23 (FENA) - Republika Srpska (RS) President Željka Cvijanović awarded and commended today members of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, who came to that BiH entity at the invitation of its highest officials, to assist in the fight against coronavirus.
Cvijanović awarded Commander of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Colonel Maxim Petrovic Sologubov with the Medal of Merit for People for his outstanding contribution in providing support and medical assistance in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as for strengthening the cooperation between the Russian Federation and RS.
As an expression of gratitude, respect and selfless support of the RS, Cvijanović handed over to the expert team from the Russian Federation 23 letters of appreciation 'Emblem of RS'.
Ambassador of the Russian Federation to BiH Petr Ivantsov was also present at the RS headquarters in East Sarajevo.
